Review: It seems that all the great sci-fi take long to become a movie. It took more than seventy years to give her film debut John Carter. I have a copy of L. Ron Hubbard's Battlefield Earth that it would become a film soon, but it never happened until nearly twenty years later (and many would argue that it should not be done). Ender's Game is one of the best sci-fi novels I've read, and it has developed films for about ten years. So in 2013, I could not have more excited.Enders game much like The Hunger Games is set in outer space, just more aggressive, more amazing, and more original. EC has its fair share of special effects-laden spectacle, with large flocks of spacecraft and exceptional planetscapes fill the screen. Fortunately, not all the action just for the sake of action, it is all a direct result of the story. When the battle space that arent breaks out, the movie is still moving very fast with a lot of character-driven films conflicts. The still retains most of the focus on storytelling, and hit up all the major plot points in the original novel. Some of the major subplots could be cut, a scene training / fighting clipped, and other miscellaneous liberties taken, but for a two-hour movie, the filmmakers do their best to cover the entire plot, until the end of his bizarre. Many scenes were exactly as I imagined them from reading the book (even fantasy mindgame CGI scenes, which I thought always about Pixar animation style, and it turns out that they are !), And dark aggressiveness in this book is largely translates well into a movie. Best of all, the book is still the biggest twists worthy to bear weight on narrative.Unfortunately movies, there are some things lost in translation. As with The Hunger Games, some nuances of the characters, their relationships, their emotions and their overall pathos communicated The ro book ANI film tells. Ender's relationship with his friends (and enemies) left on the surface level, and never quite reach the same depth as the novel. Some things remain unexplained, or obscured. Deeper themes never fully explored. Although one can not expect any thing in the book to make it into a movie, EC falls a bit short in immersing the audience in character. It can be easy to root for Ender, as he stands up to a bully and commanding the entire fleet, but this movie will not leave as much of a composed ; only impression. As movie, looks pretty slick and stylish, with a solid shooting and editing. Acting can be a little mixed: I think all the child actors they do their job very well. Harrison Ford gets the most grief for his role, as he is pretty much on the phone, but I still do not think it was as bad as other reviewers make it out to be. Ben Kingsley plays the somewhat creepily in his role, and Viola Davis pretty much themselves. Writing in this movie is okay, but have a pretty bad tendency to exposition. This production has some nice sets, props, costumes and special effects. Either. As music score is not bad always, this book is better than the movie, but I still think the movie does a good job of adapting . I hope that the average audience familiar with the book will think this movie is okay, but may miss some nuances. Fans of the book may complain that this film does not do justice to certain things. In any case, I think the movie is worth renting for all avid sci-fi fans.4 / 5 (Entertainment: Very Good | Story: Good | Movie: Pretty Good)
